Our group is called One Bright Pearl’ (search ‘One Bright Pearl’ on Facebook.
We meet most Wednesdays at my house: 8 Tyne Road / Bishopston / Bristol BS7 8EE. Please arrive a little early as we start sitting at 19:30. If you are interested in sitting with a small number of people regularly, or maybe have sat with another group, or by yourself, and might be looking for something else, come along and try us out – no obligation!
The format is simple – we sit zazen (‘sitting practice’) for 1/2 hr; talk for 1/2 hr, then sit again for 1/2 hr, then go home. .
One Bright Pearl’s central premise is ‘Zen life : Normal life”. Talks are informal – sometimes based on Master Dogen’s ‘Shinji Shobogenzo’, sometimes on whatever comes up
